This small mahogany chest of drawers is fitted what is known as a brushing slide.
The slide was originally used by the butler to brush the gentlemans trousers, the feature was used later as a multi-purpose idea and could be used for writing , serving or jst a having another useful surface.

The chest if fitted 4 graduated drawers and its original brass swing handles.
