Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1800s.
He wears a tricorn hat, frock coat and breeches. He stands with one leg raised on a tree trunk, as he ties on his skates, beside the ice. He looks up, smiling, with his other skate at his foot. The bronze signed 'Sevres'. The bronze mounted on a circular marble plinth.
Height 7 1/2 inches, width 4 1/2 inches, depth 4 1/2 inches.
Date c 1830.
