Brockbank & Atkins: Good Victorian Wall Clock

Description

BROCKBANK & ATKINS: a good early/mid-Victorian mahogany WALL CLOCK in fine original and virtually untouched condition.

The case is of good warm colour, with no splits to the frame and retains both locking keys and full set of four wooden pegs. The 8-day movement is chain-driven fusee, with original pendulum, whilst the painted dial (scratch at "V" which can be resolved) is original, signed and numbered. 15ins wide; 6.5ins deep, the dial 12ins. (38 x 15.5cms; dial: 30.5cms)

***Brockbank & Atkins numbered some of their clocks during the period 1815-1839 and continued to make good clocks until about 1881.
