Description

Fantastic Empire style lit bateau bed made from figured maple with parquetry panels. Exquisite gilt bronze mounts depicting cherubs, chariots, fauna and flora etc. Please see close up images to appreciate the number and variations of detail.A truly one of piece of furniture that embodies the incredible craftsmanship of the period.

Suitable for standard double 135cm x 190 cm (4'6" x 6'3") mattress size.

Head height 137cm

Foot height 88cm

Overall width 155cm

Overall length 215cm

Price includes a wood slat base (sorry not mattress)

As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. We can also supply hand made mattresses in all comfort choices. Please see our web site or e mail for full specifications and prices.

Bedsteads have been sourcing, restoring and retailing antique beds and bedroom furniture for over 25 years. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol.

We offer on site B & B facilities if you are travelling a distance to view.
