Antique Burr Walnut Serpentine Fronted Chest of Drawers

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique burr walnut serpentine fronted chest of drawers dating from around the 1890-1910 period. This fine quality chest is in good original condition & is full of character, with a wonderful original colour. The reeded top & drawer fronts are both a tight burr walnut, plus they are cross banded too. The drawers are graduated in depth & have fine dovetails, plus original brass handles, escutcheons & locks. This chest sits on splayed feet & has a brushing slide below the top drawer.
