Serpentine Flame Mahogany Chest on Chest

Description

An attractive chest on chest , or tallboy, in flame mahogany of serpentine form. Well made from solid mahogany, with lovely flame mahogany veneers to the drawer fronts . It has a series of 2 short over 5 long, graduated drawers, providing ample storage capacity. All drawers are fitted with their original brass handles. The shape of this chest is of gentle serpentine form which is very refined and elegant. The top is decorated with a dentil cornice , the sides have canted corners and the whole thing stands on good ogee bracket feet. This lovely and practical chest is offered for sale in excellent original condition, with a great patina and a lovely wonderful mellow colour. It splits into two sections for ease of transportation.
