Victorian Silver Plated "Nautilus" Spoon Warmer, Sheffield Circa 1870

Description

This stunning Victorian silver plated spoon warmer is very decorative. The nautilus shaped body engraved with naturalistic grooves. The hinged cover prettily engraved with cattail plants, a very popular pattern in the Victorian Naturalistic moment of the 1870's. The cast underside unmarked.

Stands on a naturalistic rocky base with shell terminal.

Length: : 17cm / 6.5 inches.

Width: 8cm / 3 inches.

Height: 13cm / 5 inches.
