Pair of Antique Elbow Chairs, Dining Ladderbacks C.1900

Description

This is an antique pair of Victorian ladderback dining chairs dating to c.1900.

Raised on turned legs united by a box stretcher this pair of carvers are in fine order crafted in English oak with a rich warm patina and good colour.

The shaped armrests sit comfortably above the rush seats which are in good order and provide a comfortable seat.

The seat backs in typical ladderback fashion are graduated in size from bottom to top and held between the rear, circular section stiles that terminate in mushroom finials to the top.

Solid joints and construction delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
