Full Fitted Decanter Box & Glasses

Description

A very good mid-19th century inlaid rosewood DECANTER BOX in fine original condition.

Veneered overall in rosewood and inlaid to the lid and front, with cast ormolu side handles, the lid opens to reveal the full set of 4 decanters and 12 glasses arranged on a central stand. This stand can be lifted out and turned 90 degrees which enables it to be supported high within the box if required.

The interior is lined in birds-eye maple and the inner handle is of bronze. Small chip to one stopper. Probably French. 12ins wide; 12ins deep; 10ins high. (30.5 x 30.5 x 25cms)
