Good George III Inlaid Cube Tea Caddy

Description

A good late 18th century cube TEA CADDY inlaid to the lid and front with an oval panel of burr yew within multiple cross banding and stringing of tulipwood and boxwood etc. The sides and back are all similarly inlaid with oval panels, whilst the lid retains its original Old Sheffield Plate handle. This lid opens to reveal an inner lid and remains of the original lead lining. A handsome caddy measuring: 5.5ins x 5.5ins x 5.5ins (14 x 14 x 14cms)
