The lid opens to reveal the original fitted interior in perfect condition; it is lined in original velvet and silver braid, as is the interior of the lid. 16ins high; 10ins wide; 12ins deep. (40 x 25 x 30cms)
This earlier form of interior fitting is more practical nowadays; later apertures cut into wood often will not accommodate certain cutlery items.
