Mid 19th.c. Stick Barometer by West of London C.1860.

Description

Superb mid 19th.c. mercury stick barometer and thermometer by the London maker Henry West c.1860. Of superior quality with an unusually large bore barometer tube in a fine oak case with shaped cornice, silvered gauge named for West of 41 Strand London and adjustable markers for yesterday v today. Original adjuster knob (fits both sockets), bevelled glass and separate mercury thermometer also with a silvered gauge. In excellent working condition, the barometer tube having been professionally cleaned and refilled and the case cleaned and polished in our workshops.
