Large Brass Lion Door Knocker

1900 - 1920
Description

A Large Imposing Brass Lions Mask Door Knocker.

The back plate, circular, with a flat rim, surrounding the impressive lion mask, the beast looking straight forward. The hinged knocker in the form of a reeded band, entwined with crossing ribbons, and mounted to the top and bottom with rosettes. The knocker ring striking to drop end of the back plate. Complete with fixing screws.
