Very Fine Quality Mahogany Pedestal Desk

Description

A very good quality and well proportioned mahogany PEDESTAL DESK in excellent condition.

Below the 'blind-tooled' leather writing surface is a row of three frieze drawers, whilst the spacious kneehole is flanked by twin pedestals of three further drawers. All these drawers are lined in polished mahogany and all retain their original brass "swan-neck" handles and quality locks. It is supported on solid mahogany ogee feet and measures 52ins wide; 29ins deep. (210 x 118cms)

**Pedestal desks often suffer from harsh treatment in their lives, and some antique desks can be in very average condition. This example has been very little used and is in particularly good order.
