DELABRIERRE: a very good 19th century French animalier BRONZE SCULPTURE of a heron and its chick, being fed a fish for its supper! It is set upon a highly detailed base of foliage and rocks. Very finely modelled and cast as one would expect from this accomplished and highly regarded famous artist. Fully signed. 8ins high x 8ins wide (20 x 20cms)

** Paul-Edouard DELABRIERRE (1829-1912) was a famous and important member of the French Animalier School, exhibiting frequently at The Salon from 1848-1882.
