Description

A very charming little vanity-bag (chanteh) made by Qashqa'i - Darrehshuri nomads during the 19th century. The plain-weave design reminds me of tartan with the tiny knots inserted for good luck. There are a few old repairs on the back - done in the field by the nomads themselves.
