Description

Small antique French marble top two drawer commode with a serpentine shaped front. This piece is in good original condition & has loads of character. The marble top is original & has nicely coloured veins. This commode is composed of a few different woods, which I believe are mahogany, walnut, kingwood & some other wood inlays. There are parquetry panels surrounded by inlays. It has grooved uprights above the shaped legs. The gilt mounts, handles & feet are fine quality & are nicely aged. I would date this piece to around the 1920's period.
