Description

Two large early 20th.c. woven tapestry panels c.1930. Measuring 75" x 55" and 70" x 51". Depicting scenes set in the Southern Spanish city of Seville, with it’s distinctive Moorish doorways and the Giralda bell tower in the background. The first panel shows a gentleman on horseback wooing a lady at the window of a house with flowers, then in the second panel he leads her out of the house whilst his groom steadies the horse. Slight differences in size, in good condition, nicely faded with age, presented on their original stretchers.
