An exceptionally well-made Victorian chest of drawers, circa 1880. Constructed in a mix of mahogany and pine which provides a nice contrast between light and dark wood. This is a large piece of furniture and has plenty of useful storage for keeping clothes and linen tidy.
The drawers are graduated, i.e. they get bigger in size towards the bottom. The two largest drawers are both fitted with in-built bearing to ensure the drawers run smoothly at all times. Probably constructed in the North of England. This is on casters so it is easy to move into position.
