1920s Gédéon thommen Galonne Cased Pocket Watch

Description

An antique Gédéon Thommen galonne cased pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the GT initials and is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver with a rose gold wash around the bezel and around the edge of the case back. The case is in good condition and the engine turned detail on the hinged case back is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has several very faint hairline cracks which are just about visible to the naked eye. The hour hand is a later replacement but of the correct period.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
