Jeff Sims Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.

Three were made by Elizabeth Tookey, who continued her late husband's business and three by her son Thomas Tookey. They have the original pricked initials to the tops of the shanks.
Flatware is scarce nowadays due to the great losses, caused by the unscrupulous melting of antique silver for scrap.

Therefore a complete set of fancy backs (usually only found in single examples) and from a desirable family of makers, is a rare find.
