Stunning 19th century burr walnut book stand, stamped ‘Bell and Coupland’. Turned spindle supports on a figured box base, with a drawer to the front. With decorative knulled freize and raised on gadrooned bun feet.

The firm of Bell and Coupland, Preston, is recorded at Lune Street from 1851.
