A Superb Embossed Table Snuff or Trinket Box 1900

This beautifully embossed SOLID SILVER TABLE SNUFF or TRINKET BOX, was made in 1900 by the well-known silversmiths, Adie & Lovekin.

Of rounded oblong shape it has an elaborately decorated lid of flowers, scrolls and lattice work surrounded by a crimped border. The sides and base are of plain form with a crimped border surrounding the base of this lovely box. The inside retains the original vibrant gilt coating, the hinge is good and the lid closes tightly. There are no added engravings, monograms or initials and there is a blank cartouche which could be used to personalise this fabulous piece.

This superb box is in excellent condition despite being over 115 years old; it is fully hallmarked and would make a fabulous gift or would add to anyone's collection.
