Description

Magnificent large Edwardian era taxidermy red deer stag’s head c.1910 by the legendary Parisian taxidermists Deyrolle (established in 1831 and still trading today). An excellent specimen with a fine set of antlers, naturalistic taxidermy with beautiful glass eyes. Presented mounted on the original oak shield shaped board with a large iron hanging hoop. Clear Deyrolle stamp and partial paper label to the reverse. Excellent condition.
