Victorian Oak Metamorphic Library Step Chair

1900 - 1920
Description

Beautiful metamorphic oak library chair dating from the late Victorian period . Superbly well made and such a quirky piece of furniture. It's a simple construction that shows off the craftsmanship of the piece.

It's a pretty little seat in its own right but it also flips over on itself to make a lovely pair of steps.

Height as steps : 26" / 66cm

Height as chair : 33 1/2" / 85cm

It is in good original condition with a nice patina. There is no damage to note and all the joints are clean and strong. Some small knocks and minor marks but nothing that concerns us. It displays very well and has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
