Description

A rosewood and marquetry inlaid Late Victorian Period antique chiffonier. The upper section with a shaped cornice above an arrangement of five shaped bevelled mirrors with shelves, with floral marquetry inlaid detail and turned finials. The lower section of inverted breakfront form with marquetry and mother of pearl inlaid detail, having central rectangular bevelled doors opening to reveal a velvet lined interior with a mirrored back and glass shelf. The bowed ends with fine floral marquetry and mother of pearl panels and ormolu beaded detail. Supported on four elegant square tapering supports united by a rosewood under-tier. Possibly made by Maple & Co or James Shoolbred. English circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 54" wide x 14" deep x 90" high

Condition: This chiffonier is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
