A Gents Art Deco Silver Wrist Watch, 1924

1900 - 1920
Description

A gents 1920s silver wrist watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30.5mm high excluding the lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Edinburgh (import mark), 1924. There are some surface marks to the case but overall the condition is good for such an early wrist watch.

The lens has light surface marks.

The Art Deco dial has darkened a little with age but still very easy to read the time.

A new black Hirsch strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from a Preston based jewellers.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
