Marcks and Co.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which has been fully tested and is working nicely. The movement is signed with the retailers name Marcks & Co Ltd Bombay & Poona, and Campaign watch, Swiss made. The Longines calibre number is 18.50 which is under the balance. The movement is lever set.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The silver case has London import marks for 1908 and the case makers mark AB Aurthur Baume (the distributor for Longines in the UK) . The case is in good condition for its age with just a little gentle unevenness to the front & back and some light surface marks from use.

The watch lens is plastic and is in nice condition.
The dial is signed Marcks and Co. of Bombay and Poona, Swiss made. The dial has a faint hairline crack to the edge at 4 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch comes on a silver watch chain with Birmingham hallmarks for 1900 and the makers mark G E G (George Edward Gee), The chain measures 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
