A Burr Walnut Victorian Period Antique Pedestal Desk

Description

A burr walnut Victorian Period antique pedestal desk. Having a rectangular top with an inset green gilt and blind tooled writing surface and veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with a walnut moulded edge. Featuring a central rectangular frieze drawer above the knee hole, flanked by a further four drawers to each pedestal, each with fine quality mahogany drawer linings, burr walnut drawer fronts, turned walnut drawer pulls, brass escutcheons and working locks and key. With burr walnut ends, the whole supported on a burr walnut veneered plinth. English circa 1870

Dimensions: 48" wide x 23" deep x 29" high (knee hole 24" high x 18" wide)

Condition: This desk is in beautiful condition, re-polished in our workshops. New leather inset.
