Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The manual wind watch movement is the calibre 58 17 jewels.
The original sub seconds dial is in remarkable condition, it has gilt hands and numbers. A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished.
It is attached to a later solid 9ct gold bracelet which fits a wrist size of up to 7.5 inches.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
The case is fully hallmarked.
The watch measures 34mm in diameter not including the crown.
The is a slight dent to the side of the case which is photographed.
It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
