Silver Bridge Box London 1910 Mappin & Webb

A truly stunning, solid silver, Edwardian Bridge Box. The design of the box is lovely, with no engravings and the word ''Bridge'' set across the left hand corner of the lid. The lid is hinged with a small lip to the front for ease of opening. Clear hallmarks are visible on both the side of the box and the side of the lid: London 1910 by Mappin & Webb. Along the with name ''Mappin & Webb'', stamped on the underneath base of the box,.
 
The interior of the box is equally stunning: covered in black leather with a special compartment under the lid that houses the original rule book, entitled: ''The Laws of Bridge'' also coated in the same black leather.
 
A rare and wonderful antique and a great weight.
 
Condition: This bridge box is in very good used condition, both externally and internally. The hinge is in great working order and closes with precision.
