Raised on tapered, turned front legs and swept rear legs the subtle, elegant bowed seat rails support the traditional stuff over seats, currently upholstered in a green damask fabric trimmed with green braid which under close inspection seat coverings showing marks consistent with age & use.
The rear stiles flare into the arced crest rail which is carved with swag decoration and surmounted by a carved, mirrored scroll, stylised rosettes bulging gently at the ears.
The square section splats mount a central, ovular, pierced carving featuring walnut detail.
A fine example with solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
