In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It serves as a fantastic desk chair but could also be a library or hall chair.
It has a lovely shape with a curved back and turned legs terminating in delicate pad feet. It has a padded leather seat and leather back.
It is in excellent condition for its age. It has developed a lovely aged patina and is structurally very sound. It is not without a few small marks here and there but nothing untoward for a chair of this age. The leather is in good condition with no major splits or tears apart from a small repaired tear which I've photographed.
