French Marble Top Chest of Drawers C.1830.

19th century
Description

Very stylish early 19th.c. French Louis Philippe marble top chest of drawers c.1830. Original grey marble top with rounded corners over four long drawers. Shallow top drawer with shaped front and three deeper drawers set within a moulded and crossbanded border. Beautifully figured burr walnut veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the front with inlaid stringing to the three lower drawers. Original brass escutcheons and shaped bracket feet. Unusually the sides of the cabinet are in solid walnut. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
