Art Deco Blue Glass Clock

1920 - 1940
Description

A wonderful looking and very stylish Art Deco vintage clock/time-piece by Jaz made in France in the 1930s. This is a time-piece as oppose to a clock, so no alarm. The clock has a nice blue glass bevelled frame, with chrome/aluminium flashes to either side of the dial holding the face together. Stamped with "8 Jours (8 day) Jaz" "Made in France." It also has two chromed feet, the back is stamped with "Echappement A ancre M Pierres" and "Brevette SGDG" ( This means one or more patents and without government guarantee) and modele Depose which means it is registered and Jaz. We've had this wonderful clock fully serviced by a professional.

The Compagnie Industrielle de Mecanique Horlogere registered the name, Jaz, as a trademark in 1919 and used until 1941 when a bird figure was added. The Jaz company mainly known for alarm clocks but produced some 8 day clocks in 1934.

Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
