An unusual solid silver stamp case, with a swivel opening, in the form of a book. The front is plain and the hallmarks for M & Co. Ltd for Birmingham 1902 and the makers mark are in centre on the the back. The sides have small grooves to imitate the pages of a book. There is a small ball on the top left to enable the case to be opened, pivoting on the bottom left corner. The inside is silver gilt and is marked on the top with the lion passant and the date letter.
