Puckerings has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The domed lid is made from sterling silver struck with a hallmark from the highly collectible Chester assay office in the year 1905 with a makers mark for the silversmith, William Neale.

The lid is beautifully decorated with a repousse Art Nouveau floral design, very pretty and most unusual.
Excellent condition, the lid has a diameter measuring 2 3/4" and stands 3 1/4" tall.
