A First World War Silver Travelling 'Sweetheart' Frame.

1900 - 1920
Description

A poignant keepsake from the Great War. This is a travelling silver photo frame in hallmarked silver. The case is of rectangular form with shaped corners. The interior has two oval apertures for photographs. To the top is an attaching loop for a fob chain. Probably used for a Gentleman to take to War, as a reminder of the loved ones left behind. Hallmarked in 1915, this is a charming collectable piece.

Condition :- Excellent, with no losses or breaks. There are a couple of age related very minor blemishes to the case.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable, with matching part marks to the reverse and interior.

Date :- Birmingham 1915.

Width :- 5 cms.

Depth :- 0.25 cms.
