Description

A handsome burr walnut pedestal desk in the Queen Anne style. Of good quality construction in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers, with a lovely mellow colour and patina. The top is fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface , with gilt tooling to the edges. The edge of the desk top is decorated with carved gadrooning. There is a long central drawer flanked by two banks of 4 graduated drawers, each fitted with its original bras swan-neck handle. The whole desk stands on squat carved cabriole legs. We have had this lovely desk sympathetically repolished to a very high standard , it is now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home or office.
