Description

A fabulous and most unusual little inkwell or inkstand; the inkwell created from cut crystal wrapped with a Boar tusk and the fittings, gilded brass.

The tusk is mounted with a charming little bronze Boar retaining his two little glass eyes. The mount at the end of the tusk has an integral pen rest to sit the nib of a dip pen.

Excellent condition dating to the late Victorian period, c.1880. Spanning 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" tall.
