Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Right now I'm selling it for £1500 as is. The cost of the caning will go on top of that price. I don't know how much yet, but new panels can cost in the region of £100- £125 & then they need to be stained to match. It's the sides that are damaged. There are four side panels, but I don't think it's all of them. For re-upholstery it will all need to be re-sprung or re-webbed, plus new feather cushions, so it could cost in the region of £800-£1000 for a top job with my upholsterer. There is also a matching marble top coffee table which is shown in the 1st image & also in 'coffee tables' on the site. This suite would definitely be worth recovering, because it's one of the best I've seen & not only would look great, but would also be very comfortable because of it's generous proportions. So, it's £1500+vat now or about £2000 with all the caning done or In the region of £3000 plus fabric of your choice re-upholstered.
