Description

An exhibition quality burr walnut & Ormolu mounted Victorian Period pier cabinet. Having a rectangular top veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with kingwood banding and with ebony and ormolu mounted detail above a marquetry inlaid frieze. With a central glazed door opening to reveal two mahogany shelves with burr walnut and boxwood edging. Having ormolu moulding with ebony and purple heart banding and flanked by freestanding turned walnut columns with corinthian capitols and sycamore inlaid detail.The sides again veneered in the finest burr walnut with kingwood banding, the whole raised on a burr walnut and kingwood veneered plinth. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 31" wide x 15.5" deep x 43" high
