Antique Victorian Burr Walnut Oval Dining Table

Description

Antique Victorian walnut dining table with a burr walnut oval tilt top on a beautifully detailed base. This table is very fine quality & in excellent original condition, with no splits or warps. It's definitely one of the finest examples I've had. Please enlarge all the images to see the fine details, particularly the tight burr walnut & the carved base. The base is solid walnut, with four outside turned supports & a fabulous finial in the centre. There are casters under the feet. The top is cross banded outside of the burr walnut. The top section can be taken off the base quite simply for easy transportation. I would date this to around the 1850-60's period.
