Silver Four Slice Solid Toast Rack 1901

This fine ANTIQUE TOAST RACK has four compartments divided by an arch style frame supporting a central handle. The rack, made by the well-known silversmiths of Walker & Hall in 1901, has a rectangular shaped body / base that has rounded corners and is supported by four beautifully shaped feet. The toast rack has five delightfully shaped dividers resulting four toast sections and the central divider has a shaped handle on the top. This lovely toast rack has not been engraved with any family crests or initials and one end has a full set of clearly defined hallmarks. There are no visible signs of scratches or dents as would be typical of a piece of this age. This is an exceptionally fine quality toast rack, made from heavy gauge silver, and is in exceptional condition and could be used as intended as a toast rack or as a superb desk top letter rack or would make a wonderful addition to any collection and would enhance any table setting.
