Description

Beautiful George II writing bureau c.1760. Open the fall front to reveal a leather top writing surface and fitted interior of small drawers and pigeon holes with inlaid drawer fronts and oak linings. Over four long drawers of graduated depth. Fabulous mellow honey coloured walnut veneers with herringbone inlays and period replacement brass handles and escutcheon plates. Some wear to the veneers, generally very good condition, fitted with a new leather skiver, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
