A Rare Pair of Burr Walnut & Parcel Gilt Art Deco Period Chests.

1920 - 1940
Description

A rare pair of burr walnut & parcel gilt Art Deco Period chests. Each with a figured walnut rectangular top above an arrangement of four graduating oak lined drawers with finely cut dovetails. The fronts are veneered in burr walnut with herringbone banding and a boxwood shield shaped escutcheon and having cast brass drop handles. With figured walnut sides and a floral gilded border, the whole supported on square tapering burr walnut supports with gilded fish scale panels. English circa 1930

Dimensions: 27" wide x 20" deep x 36" high

Condition: This pair of chests are in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Made by top quality craftsman
