George IV Regency Mahogany Inlaid Chest of Drawers

Description

Beautiful mahogany chest of two short over three long drawers dating from the early 19th Century, set on bracket feet. The top edge is inlaid with a lighter boxwood. Excellent quality, very well made and in lovely original condition with a rich patina.

There is an old repair to the top surface where a small piece of wood has been replaced, it is very original and I think it adds a nice bit of character (see photo).

The drawers run well and it a clean sturdy set with brass plate handles. There are the usual small signs of wear but nothing major and they display beautifully.
