Antique 1923 Geographia 6" Terrestrial Globe on Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

Beautiful original papier mache globe on a turned pedestal base with a brass axis. The globe carries the stamp "Geographia 6inch Terrestrial Globe. Geographia (1923) Ltd. 55 Fleet Str. London. EC4".

It is in good condition for its age. The globe has been lightly cleaned to preserve its original aged patina and is ready for display. The stand is clean with a good rich colour and the globe spins freely on its axis.There is some wear to the surface of the globe - some small water marks and scuffs and areas which have rubbed and general signs of wear and age. Overall though it displays beautifully.
