Description

A superb quality 19th Century mahogany cylinder top desk, with a raised gallery on the top, the cylinder fall opening to reveal a lovely fitted interior with satinwood and ebony front edges, various drawers and compartments, with a pull out ratchet adjustable writing surface with a green leather insert flanked either side with slides with green leather inserts to reveal more storage space, the bottom section having six graduated mahogany lined drawers with original turned knobs, standing on a raised platform plinth. Circa 1850.
