Description

A large 18th Century Ceylonese satinwood and ebony coffer / trunk, the hinged top opening to reveal a smaller lidded compartment, the front and sides of the trunk decorated with an outline of a delicate scalloped design, with the trunk sitting on two large turned legs at the front and block feet at the rear. Circa 1760.
